Our Services
Forsythe Wealth Management engages with you on your terms. We will work with you on an ongoing or one-time basis. We can serve as your sole financial advisor, or we can coordinate our efforts with an advisor you already have. We can manage all of your investments or just a piece of your portfolio.
As you consider working with us, we vow to clearly explain the features, benefits, and costs of each FWM service so you can make an informed decision that is best suited for your personal needs.
Investment Management
For those without the time or expertise to keep up with ever-changing financial markets, FWM provides ongoing, hands-on management of all or part of your investment portfolio using either a personalized blend of our Core Strategies or a specially designed Custom Strategy.
Core Strategies
FWM’s Capital Growth and Capital Preservation Strategies are designed to form the diversified “core” of most individual, family, and institutional investment portfolios.
Custom Strategies
For clients with special return, income, or risk objectives, FWM can design and manage customized strategies using equities, alternative assets, options, short-selling, tax management, or leverage. For example:
- a wealthy family able to tolerate additional risk might be interested in an aggressive growth strategy with a portion of their assets
- a business owner in a cyclical industry (construction, manufacturing, retail, etc.) might prefer an investment strategy designed to reduce risk exposure to economic fluctuations
- a foundation or individual who already owns lots of stocks and bonds might be interested in a strategy that diversifies or hedges equity and interest rate risks
FWM employs an Investment Policy Questionnaire to establish personalized context for how your investments are managed. We provide quarterly investment portfolio reports, and we will meet with you to review your progress and goals at least annually. Investment management fees are computed as a percentage of invested assets invested and are based on the strategy employed.
Planning and Advisement
Financial Planning
Creation of a personalized financial plan to guide you through the process of accumulating, protecting, and investing the financial assets needed to achieve your goals. Financial plans can be basic or in-depth, and can be completed once or reviewed/updated periodically, with FWM’s fee determined accordingly.
Investment Advisement
Ongoing guidance on building a personal portfolio selected from the investment choices offered by your 401K or other retirement plan(s). FWM provides the recommendations, but you implement the recommendations. Investment advisement fees are determined by the complexity of your retirement plan(s), but are generally far lower than the cost of ongoing investment management.
2nd Opinion Consultation
One-time review of your investment strategy and/or investment portfolio. Whether you make your own financial decisions or are using another advisor, FWM can make sure your plans and strategies are costworthy and suitable for your needs. Consultation fees are determined on a case-by-case basis.
Question & Answer Consultation
One-time meeting to answer questions you have about finance, investing, retirement planning, tax-advantaged savings, etc. Recognizing that finance can be confusing, FWM can provide many answers or direct you to someone else when we can’t.
FWM’s planning, advisement, and consultation fees are determined on a case-by-case basis, and are often waived for Investment Management clients.
The FWM Difference
Financial advisors’ service offerings and fee structures are typically defined and constrained by the firms they work for. Some emphasize initial planning over ongoing investment management. Some charge product commissions instead of or in addition to fixed fees. It’s common for a standard model portfolio to be recommended as the solution to a client’s unique needs. Meet with an advisor from an insurance firm, and – surprise, surprise – an insurance policy or annuity is part of that advisor’s recommendation.
FWM’s service offerings are clearly defined and customized to each client’s unique situation. Fees are always fully transparent and determined up-front.
